When Ghanshyam Maharaj took residence in Sydney in 2013, we committed to fully utilising our Mandir’s facilities to serve the new generation of children. Today, we offer a wide range of activities, including Ghanshyam Dharmik, Ghanshyam Gujarati, and Ghanshyam Music classes. As of 2024, with 210 students enrolled, GBM continues to provide diverse and enriching programs that nurture the spiritual, cultural, and personal growth of our young haribhakto.

Ghanshyam Dharmik

In 2014, we launched Ghanshyam Dharmik classes using materials from Bhuj Mandir. As the number of first-generation Australian children grew, we recognised the need for a more tailored approach. As part of the GBM refresh in 2018, we developed interactive, colourful workbooks and teacher support materials specifically for our local students.

Building on the success of our local content, we contributed to the making of an international syllabus. With the blessings of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan, Bhuj Mahant Swami, and esteemed Vadil Santo, we introduced the Svadhyay syllabus in 2022, developed with contributions from the UK and Australia. This world-class framework, designed for youth aged 6 to 16, promotes self-improvement, Vedic study, and self-reflection, alongside core interpersonal and life skills. The Svadhyay syllabus empowers children to understand and appreciate satsang, ensuring the strength and continuity of our religion for future generations.

Ghanshyam Gujarati

Established in 2003, Ghanshyam Gujarati has been dedicated to nurturing young minds and instilling the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat into the hearts of future generations. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and connect with their Gujarati roots. Through interactive lessons, cultural activities, and language instruction, we aim to foster pride in our students’ cultural identity and enhance their language skills, enabling them to preserve their mother tongue and read sacred shastras.

Our curriculum, originally based on textbooks created in 1997 by Willesden Mandir in the UK, has been thoughtfully updated to meet modern teaching standards. It incorporates engaging activities that keep our students actively involved in their learning journey.

Ghanshyam Music

In 2019, we expanded our offerings to include music classes, featuring tabla, keyboard, and singing classes. These classes are designed to nurture and develop musical talent, instilling a deep appreciation for Indian classical music among our youth. Ghanshyam Music provides a comprehensive cultural education that enriches the spiritual and cultural lives of our young haribhakto. Our music program not only fosters artistic growth but also strengthens their connection to the rich musical heritage of our Sampraday.
